IEC2019 National Election Votes

R100

About

A deal four years in the making. Concerned about the increasing voter registration drop-off in recent times, and in a bold move aimed at appealing to the younger generation, the IEC is moving away from the ink-and-paper voting method and towards a more streamlined online process.

Motivated by both the financial aspect and the increased speed at which votes can now be tallied, this deal serves as a Beta version designed to highlight any shortcomings in the online process.

To minimise this risk as much as possible, only 3 political party options are available. Should you find your party is not represented, please make use of the voting station to which you are registered.

Although there are some 23 000 voting stations nationwide, the intention is to cut this down to just under 10 000 should online voting show promise.

Your vote is important!

National elections are on May 8th.

Go make an X on a piece of paper somewhere.

Then reward yourself with pizza for both lunch and supper while you spend the time between trying to scrub the stain off your thumbnail.
