About
Dalwhinnie is Gaelic for "meeting place" and the village of this name stands at the junction of old cattle-driving routes. It is the highest distillery in the Highlands. The particular effects of the drastic seasonal temperature changes which lead to snow-melted waters are used in the whisky making process to create a distinctive taste.
