The Estate Range of wines was the first offering of Wildekrans’ repertoire when the farm began producing wines in the early 90s; the range reflects the values and integrity of the farm’s dedication to the wine-making process. The range pays tribute to the Wildekrans terroir and its process of minimum intervention, which produces bold, elegant wines with a dedicated undertone of oak influence. The Estate Range, although premium, is competitively priced and at all times strives to deliver the ultimate wine-drinking experience. Although the offering can be enjoyed upon purchase, it is a range that will benefit from some good oldfashioned ageing.

Tasting notes

A very special style of Sauvignon Blanc with less typical green flavour, but more tropical and citrus notes. The wine is very pleasant on the palate with well-balanced acidity that makes the wine very drinkable. Pairs well with seafood and salads.

Harvest notes

Harvested by hand into lugs to the cellar where the grapes were destalked and chilled through a mash cooler directly into the cellar. Free run juice is used and fermented at cold temperature with special yeast until dry. Lightly oaked and blended with 15% semillon.
